All About Me

Welcome to 3B!

My name is Misha Behnia, and this is my first-year teaching Grade 3 at Sarah Thompson School. My professional practice is embedded in fostering meaningful relationships and creating enriching opportunities for all students to find their personal potential. I have worked with children in various educational settings over the past ten years and am overjoyed to be continuing my professional practice at Sarah Thompson School.

The Grade 3 team at STS supports a philosophy of combining a strong focus on literacy and numeracy with inquiry, and project-based learning. Our inquiry practice is driven by students' individual and combined interests and is thoughtfully aligned with the Alberta Program of Studies. When you enter our classroom, you will often see students involved in various hands-on, collaborative, and project-based experiences. Our space is a safe, nurturing, and positive environment where students are encouraged to explore their potential and challenge themselves daily.

3B is a class full of passionate learners and I look forward to travelling along this year's learning journey with each of you!
